Insider secrets on how best to photograph senior GUYS: As the photographer, be yourself, possibly clumsy to the point of tripping on your own feet, and also, willingly admit you’re completely dumb when it comes to sports. All of this makes them laugh. grin emoticon Especially when referring to gear by saying “that black fence looking thing on your helmet”. “Uh, you mean, face mask?” Totally what I meant!!
This high school senior has been playing football for many years, and wanted at least a few photos on his home turf. The composition of the lights behind on one side and the stadium to the other make for a cool shot. It was a dewy summer morning, which also made the grass look lush and green. Fun capture for Ben, who I hear loves his senior pictures, so my job here is accomplished. 🙂

On the way back we stopped at my most favorite local location, that has not been discovered by other photographers, at least to my knowledge. The light is etherial and the brick makes for some great tough texture for a senior guy. He chose well as far as his clothing. I usually suggest shying away from plaids but this fit so well with the rest of the image. Thanks, Ben!
