Newborn /// Sun Prairie WI

One of the things that I love most about about my job, is holding sweet newborns in their first days. Being able to put to use all of the things I’ve learned from my own two children (who are now pre-teen & teen), to calm, soothe, and lull to sleep. My son was an extremely fussy newborn. He was born 5 weeks early, and was sensitive to light, sound, scents, everything it seemed. To this day, I use all of the things that he taught me about setting the scene for the most calm, comfortable newborn environment. While I do travel on-location, there is such a huge benefit to coming into our studio for your newborn session. You don’t have to worry about a thing, can leave the mess here for us to take care of afterward, and I put everything into place, from setting the right temperature, to having the lights dimmed when you arrive, and so on. Many things that most wouldn’t think of, but things that newborns can be especially sensitive to. It is so, so important to me, that you have a great experience. Especially, as a new mom. I was not fortunate to have great first portrait experiences with my own, as I was not yet a photographer at that time. Some day I will tell you here, all about those personal portrait catastrophes I had at chain studios, but for now, I’ll use what those experiences taught me, so that we can do it better for you and yours. <3
